Betwyll gets to Kristianstad, Sweden, for Smarta Samhället’s EdTech Day
On Friday 18 January Betwyll will take part in an EdTech Day in Kristianstad involving professionals and startups from the education technology sector. The meeting will take place at Smarta Samhället, a fair on the digital future of smart cities.
During the meeting, Cathrin Frisemo, business angel and innovation expert, will talk about life-long learning. Niklas Höglund, creative leadership & service designer, will discuss digitalization and innovation. Sisse Tinz from Tinz & Co Specialpedagog, will describe an innovative solution for the digital training of teachers.
Edoardo Montenegro, co-founder of Betwyll, will present our app and its educational potential through a social reading workshop. An occasion to experiment with the method we use to promote deep reading and collaborative learning in schools and universities. The text the participants will read and comment on is from Gösta Berling’s Saga by Selma Lagerlof, a cornerstone of Swedish literature. You can read and comment on it on the app from Monday 14 to Friday 18 January.
The EdTech Day will close with a guided tour of the fair by its project manager Wivi-Anne Bengtsson. Smarta Samhället aims to show citizens the opportunities and implications generated by the digital solutions that smart cities will be able to adopt thanks to the diffusion of faster and more secure broadband connections.
Betwyll’s activities in Sweden
The meeting is one of the activities involving Betwyll in Sweden, a country at the forefront of the EdTech sector. In Karlshamn we actively collaborate with Netport Science Park. Thanks to their support, we carried out a pilot project in English with Gymnasieskolan Knut Hahn in Ronneby (high school). Whereas with Hobyskolan in Ronneby and Sternöskolan in Karslhamn (both primary schools) we are launching two projects in Swedish.
